iPhone Captions is a small, independent reference focused on one thing: getting captions and subtitles onto video using an iPhone. Every guide is written for real iOS steps and the constraints people actually hit — needing it to work offline, without a watermark, or as an SRT file.

Our honesty policy. We build the Subly app, and we recommend it on this site where it genuinely fits — captioning that runs on-device, works offline, and exports without a watermark. We also name the real alternatives (Clips, CapCut, Captions and others) and tell you when a free, built-in tool is all you need. Comparisons stick to facts you can verify yourself. If a guide ever recommends Subly where a free option would do, that's a bug — tell us.
